Delete Your Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Autophone account and all data associated with it. Autophone is provided by an independent developer. Contact: autophonedev@gmail.com.

Option 1 — Delete Your Account in the App

Open the Autophone app and sign in.
Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings.
Scroll down to the Danger Zone and tap Delete Account.
In the confirmation dialog, tap Delete Account to confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

This action is irreversible. There is no way to restore a deleted account or its content.

Option 2 — Request Deletion by Email

If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, send a deletion request to autophonedev@gmail.com.

Use the subject line Account deletion request.
Send the email from the same email address you used to sign in with Google or Apple, so we can verify that the request is yours.
Include your in-app nickname and, if you remember them, any license plate numbers you registered.

We confirm receipt within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying your identity.

What Is Deleted

The following data is deleted immediately and permanently from our active database:

Data type	Details
Account record	Your authentication record and the email address received from Google or Apple Sign-In.
Profile	Nickname, account status, optional phone number, and profile picture.
Vehicles	All registered license plates, vehicle brand and color, plate photos, and vehicle photos.
Messages	All chat messages you sent or received, including photos, videos, and files shared in chats.
Lists and reports	Your block list and any reports you submitted.
Notifications	Push notification tokens registered for your devices.
Subscription status	The AutoPRO subscription flag stored on your profile.

What Is Retained, and For How Long

Data type	Retention period	Reason
Files in cloud storage (profile pictures, vehicle and plate photos, chat media)	Up to 30 days	Removal from distributed storage and backup copies is not instantaneous.
Purchase and transaction records for the AutoPRO subscription	As required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically up to 5 years)	Legal obligation. These records are held by Google Play and Apple as the sellers, and contain no chat content.
Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics	Indefinitely	Cannot be linked back to you or to any individual after deletion.
Records needed to resolve an ongoing dispute or to prevent fraud and abuse	Only for as long as the matter is unresolved	Legitimate interest; applies only in exceptional cases.

Subscriptions and Further Information

Deleting your account does not cancel an active AutoPRO subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or Apple and must be cancelled separately in your store account settings; otherwise billing continues.
